
The Wickenburg 100 Club concentrates on offering assistance to the first responders of the public sector who are injured or killed in the line of duty while serving and protecting the Wickenburg community. The financial assistance offered is to support the needs of the first responder or their family until benefits and/or additional assistance is given.
Requests will often come from the first responder’s supervisor though it is accepted by any person on behalf of the first responder and/or their family. Every request is put forth to the board of directors who will then vote to approve or deny the request. If approved, a minimum of $500 will be offered to the first responder and/or their family.
The parameters required to be met to receive benefits include:
- Must be a first responder employed through the public sector
- Injury occurred while in the line of duty
- Injuries shall have to have occurred due to a traumatic type event, pre-existing conditions may disqualify a recipient. Traumatic type events shall be defined as an event that cause significant injury or trauma to the body of the person.
- Beneficiaries shall be required to be or have been stationed within the Wickenburg area or have been serving the greater good of the Wickenburg community at the time of the injury/death.
