Jeanie Hankins

A native of Wickenburg, Jeanie earned her bachelor’s degree in Communications and Journalism from Grand Canyon University in 1993. After college, she moved to Wyoming and worked in the newspaper business for 20 years before returning home to Arizona. Jeanie became editor of The Wickenburg Sun in 2014 and was promoted to publisher in 2017 which she has been doing ever since. Jeanie enjoys photography, hiking, running and being outdoors. She is the 2019-2020 President of the Arizona Newspaper Association Board of Directors and serves on the Wellik Foundation Board. 

Jeanie has family and close friends within the first responder community which prompted her to join the Wickenburg 100 Club Inc.’s Board of Directors in 2017 as a way of giving back to those who protect and serve her hometown.
